Hey Fellas,

I'm looking at buying a car, unfortunately not a $100k+ exotic. Rather a daily driver. I'll tell you a few things about my situation and then hope for your opinions:

I live in Toronto, Canada, which means snow in the winter.
I'm getting married next year AND buying a house, so my payments are savings-sensitive.
I want something fun and fast/modable, it can't be entirely unpractical, perhaps something 4-door, but in the very least 4 seats.
A lot of people say just get something to get you from point A to point B and in 5 years buy the car you really want.
The price of gas going up is a concern.
$0 downpayment.
I'm a 1st year Lawyer, I make $60k Cdn ($50 USD) right now, but I should make much more in the future.
My absolute dream car in 5 years is an Aston Martin DB9 or V8 Vantage.

I've thought about buying a WRX sedan. It seems to fit the bill. Other cars I thought about were the Audi A4, but the payments killed me, Pontiac G8 GT, but the tank fills might be ridiculous. Other cars/trucks I toyed with is a used Jaguar X-Type and a Land Rover LR2 HSE, but the latter apparently has questionable reliability.

What are your thoughts?

Well 650ish Canadian works out to $528 U.S., so around that.

After thinking about it I'm thinking perhaps a 2007 BMW 328i Sedan w/ Manual Transmission. Throw on some Vorsteiner and AC Schnitzer goodness and some 19's and I'm set. It's no M3, but it'll do for now...

I have a nice 2007 335i sedan 6spd w/ sports pkg, steal-gray with black interior
It has 19k on it.. i'll let it go for 27900.00
However, I can't get you financed in Canada.
I believe they tax hard on BMW's being imported from the States into Canada.
Some BS that BMW of North America put in place to keep their dealers from feeling the heat.
