Hey Fellas,
I'm looking at buying a car, unfortunately not a $100k+ exotic. Rather a daily driver. I'll tell you a few things about my situation and then hope for your opinions:
I live in Toronto, Canada, which means snow in the winter. I'm getting married next year AND buying a house, so my payments are savings-sensitive. I want something fun and fast/modable, it can't be entirely unpractical, perhaps something 4-door, but in the very least 4 seats. A lot of people say just get something to get you from point A to point B and in 5 years buy the car you really want. The price of gas going up is a concern. $0 downpayment. I'm a 1st year Lawyer, I make $60k Cdn ($50 USD) right now, but I should make much more in the future. My absolute dream car in 5 years is an Aston Martin DB9 or V8 Vantage.
I've thought about buying a WRX sedan. It seems to fit the bill. Other cars I thought about were the Audi A4, but the payments killed me, Pontiac G8 GT, but the tank fills might be ridiculous. Other cars/trucks I toyed with is a used Jaguar X-Type and a Land Rover LR2 HSE, but the latter apparently has questionable reliability.
What are your thoughts?
